This is a genuine 1971 UK first pressing of The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers, appearing on the band’s own Rolling Stones Records label (COC 59100). This particular copy is a definitive early variant, featuring the yellow and black labels without the later “A Promotone N.V.” credit, and the prestigious T.M.L. (The Mastering Lab) stamps alongside A4 / B4 matrices in the dead wax.

The album is presented in the iconic Andy Warhol-designed zip sleeve, which features the small metal zip—a design adjustment made during the initial production run to protect the vinyl from the damage caused by earlier, larger zippers. This copy remains an authentic survivor of the period, complete with the original cardboard insert.

The condition is graded as VG/VG, making it an ideal entry-level original for a collector who prioritises historical accuracy and analogue sound. The sleeve shows honest signs of age, including some staining at the edges and creasing on the buckle flap. The insert is present but includes a small contemporary name in biro to the top corner and an area of staining on one side. The vinyl itself retains a good lustre but displays a few surface marks.

Despite the cosmetic wear, this remains a highly desirable collector-quality play copy. It offers the chance to own a foundational piece of rock history—complete with the unique zip mechanism and first-press mastering—at a more accessible price point than a near-mint archive example.
