Roots reggae and dub purists have a spectacular opportunity to secure a highly elusive piece of sound system history. Released in 1977 on the collectible, independent Mor-Well Esq. imprint under reference BMW 1, this magnificent 45 rpm single is a major rarity that seldom surfaces for sale.

The studio collective behind this tracking is celebrated throughout the reggae community under various closely related guises, though most collectors know them simply as The Morwells. This specific copy boasts the traditional green and white label design and features a large centre hole, making it ideal for jukebox deployment or adapter playback. Discerning audiophiles will instantly recognise the clean, hand-etched matrix codes in the dead wax, reading BMW+01+A on the primary side and BMW+01+B on the reverse, verifying a genuine first-run matrix striking from the late seventies British roots explosion.

The musical content delivers an incredible double-sided experience. The top side features the heavy vocal cut "Crab In A Bag" by The Morwell Esquire, delivering a superb message. The flip side reveals the brilliant version excursion "Race The Crab" credited to Morwell Unlimited, offering a deep, bass-heavy dub mix tailor-made for the underground club scene.

This rare disc has been awarded a solid very good plus condition grading. The vinyl surface remains clean, exhibiting a few surface marks that do not detract from its impressive high-gloss lustre.
