An exceptional find for dedicated collectors, this copy introduces an incredibly scarce iteration of the historic 1968 double album release from Apple Records (PCS 7067-8). This 1st pressing British stereo edition is housed in the top-opening Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold cover that omits the miniature 'Stereo' text on the reverse side. The front of the fully laminated sleeve features the iconic, raised blind-embossed "The BEATLES" lettering. The labels themselves are the classic hybrid layout, pairing dark green Apple designs that include the compulsory "Sold in U.K." statement but miss the EMI recording attribution on sides 1 and 2, whilst sides 3 and 4 successfully incorporate the revised "An E.M.I. Recording" print right above the speed indicator.

Adding to its elite collectors status, the front cover displays the unique low stamp No. 0607477, and the runout grooves carry the definitive -1/-1/-1/-1 matrix configurations, confirming it as one of the very earliest audio cuts from the masters.

The outer sleeve secures a sound VG+ grade, showing a handful of light creases distributed around the perimeter and top edges. Turning to the audio media, both vinyl discs are in stunning EX- shape, remaining brilliantly clean and retaining their vibrant lustre alongside just a few faint, superficial surface marks.

The accompanying collector inserts have been meticulously preserved, with the clean replacement black inner jackets, four portrait prints, and large foldout poster all presenting in excellent condition. As with all of our pre-loved vinyl stock, we catalogue and evaluate these loose inserts according to their structural condition and completeness rather than their exact printing generation, as these pieces are commonly misplaced or mixed up over time.
