Housed in Fully Laminated Top Opening Garrod & Lofthouse Gatefold Picture Sleeve with tiny 'Stereo' text on the back. Comes complete with replacement black inner sleeves, 4 photos and foldout poster. Condition: VG/G (Sleeve is in clean condition. It has a small areas of staining on the top edge. There are some small laminate creases at the top and some wear on the corners. The inner sleeves, poster and photos are all in excellent clean condition. Record 1 is in clean condition, but has four very visible surface marks across side 1 and a few whispy light marks on side 2. Record 2 has a number of surface marks on both sides)

This original 1968 UK stereo first pressing of the self-titled double album by The Beatles, universally known as The White Album, offers collectors an interesting variant of a legendary release. Pressed on the Apple Records label (Catalogue No. PCS 7067-8), the dark green faces carry the essential "Sold in U.K." resale statements but showcase a collectble hybrid label combination. The first two sides entirely lack the "An E.M.I. Recording" text credit, whilst sides three and four feature the corrected print cleanly visible right above the speed marking, catching a specific moment during the initial 1968 factory production run.

The records come packaged in the genuine top-opening, fully laminated gatefold picture sleeve printed by Garrod & Lofthouse, showing the distinct stamped serial number 0309138 on the front. The jacket features the raised, blind embossed name "The BEATLES" on the front alongside the tiny printed "Stereo" text marker on the rear cover. This package remains physically complete, accompanied by the foldout lyric poster insert, a set of replacement black paper inner sleeves, and the set of four colour portrait photographs. Definitive manufacturing origin is validated by the stamped runout matrix codes, reading YEX 709-1 1 PG, YEX 710-1 1 OT, YEX 711-2 4 GOT, and YEX 712-1 2 GDR.

Our precise grading evaluates the structural cover at a Very Good (VG) level, whilst the visual state of the vinyl media is assessed at Good (G). The glossy laminated cover remains clean but shows small areas of vintage staining along the upper edge, some corner wear, and some small laminate creases near the top. The loose inserts, including the poster and artist portraits, are exceptionally well preserved in excellent, clean condition.

Accompanied by a beautifully preserved set of the four colour artist photographs. As with all of our pre-loved vinyl stock, we catalogue and evaluate these loose inserts according to their structural condition and completeness rather than their exact printing generation, as these pieces are commonly misplaced or mixed up over time. Visually, the first record remains clean but displays four very visible surface marks across side one alongside a few wispy light lines on side two. The second disc shows a number of surface marks across both faces, offering a more affordable way to own an authentic, complete original 1968 stereo pressing of definitive tracks like "Dear Prudence" and "Helter Skelter".
