Here is a fantastic opportunity to grab a proper piece of 1960s history with a genuine original 1967 UK first pressing of this massive single. Released on the classic black and silver Parlophone label under catalogue number R 5655, this 7" features the iconic, early 'THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD.' rim text alongside the essential 'SOLD IN U.K.' statement across the centre. The original 4-pronged push-out centre is completely intact, and sharp-eyed collectors will spot the classic KT tax code clearly embossed onto the Side 2 label. In the dead wax, it carries the highly sought-after first-press -1/-1 matrix codes, machine-stamped as 7XCE 18433-1 KT 6 MG on the A-side and 7XCE 18434-1 KT 3 RH on the flip.

We have graded both the record and its original Parlophone company sleeve at a fair, honest VG (Very Good) condition. Crucially, the green paper sleeve features the highly collectible 'BIG M' Miner's Make-Up advert on the back, proving it is a period-accurate, correct match for this exact release. The vintage sleeve shows some typical cosmetic wear and handling marks as you would expect from paper of this age, but the retro rear artwork remains a fantastic piece of cultural history. The vinyl has a number of visible surface marks from previous play over the decades. On the turntable, it behaves like a great, sturdy original should - spinning flat and delivering a wonderfully loud, punchy 1967 mono mix where the driving drums cut through with immense analogue warmth. You will get some light, age-appropriate surface noise in the quieter moments, but no jumps or nasty skips to ruin the music.

It is an incredibly honest, characterful original copy of a monumental release, serving up the infectious pop of "Hello, Goodbye" on the A-side and the legendary psychedelic masterpiece "I Am The Walrus" on the reverse. With its correct advertised sleeve and embossed tax code, this playing piece has heaps of genuine vintage charm.
