An original 1964 UK first mono pressing of Beatles For Sale is a true cornerstone for any vintage vinyl collector. Released on the iconic black and yellow Parlophone label (catalogue number PMC 1240), this historic artefact features the essential early text, including "THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD.", "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964", and the crucial "SOLD IN U.K..." statement. A collectable find, it comes complete with the embossed KT tax code clearly visible on the side one label.
The vinyl features the highly desirable early 3N and 4N matrix stampers (XEX 503-3N and XEX 504-4N), promising that authentic, punchy sixties mono sound. It is housed inside the legendary laminated, internal-loading gatefold sleeve printed by Garrod & Lofthouse, distinguished by the distinctive outline "mono" print on the front cover. An original polylined Emitex inner sleeve completes the package.
We grade the record and sleeve as Very Good (VG/VG). The delicate gatefold cover remains clean, showing some expected vintage wear to the centre, top, and bottom corners of the spine. It has a biro name on the interior of the gatefold. The used vinyl displays a few surface marks.
