This offering presents a genuine 1964 UK monaural debut issue of the Fab Four's acclaimed fourth studio record, Beatles For Sale (PMC 1240). The vintage disc displays the iconic black and yellow Parlophone labels, complete with the essential "THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD." edge wording and "SOLD IN U.K..." retail text. This particular press variant is distinguished by an embossed KT tax code clearly stamped on the side one label, paired with the harder-to-find inverted 4N and 3N master matrix runout configurations.
The collectable vintage wax resides safely within its original internal-loading laminated gatefold cover, which was printed in England by Garrod & Lofthouse. An unmistakable outline "mono" print marks the upper right face of the outer sleeve. Completed by its authentic, original polylined "Emitex" inner sleeve, this entire heritage package remains well preserved to safeguard the historical mid-sixties audio grooves tucked inside.
Regarding physical condition, the gatefold jacket secures a VG grade, showing a clean overall face but featuring small, historic clear tape repairs situated neatly on the top and bottom corners of the spine. The vinyl record also achieves a VG grading, maintaining a good surface lustre while exhibiting a couple of visible surface marks. These superficial flaws do not overpower the tracking or ruin your listening enjoyment of the legendary British beat music.
The tracklist serves up a brilliant mixture of quintessential self-penned numbers such as "Baby's In Black", "I'll Follow The Sun", and "I Don't Want To Spoil The Party", seamlessly integrated with spirited rockabilly covers like "Words Of Love" and "Honey Don't". Mastered straight from the early sixties studio sessions, this authentic monaural pressing yields that incredibly warm, uncompressed bass response and direct vocal presence that dedicated collectors and serious Fab Four historians look for.
