Add a fascinating piece of Fab Four chart history to your collection with this original 1976 UK issue of The Beatles' high-octane 7-inch single "Back In The U.S.S.R." (Catalogue No. R 6016) on Parlophone.

Remarkably, from its original 1968 release until mid-1976, this classic track was never available as a standalone British single, existing solely as the explosive opening album track on The Beatles (commonly known as The White Album). This 7-inch release was actually a brand-new marketing creation by Parlophone/EMI in 1976, manufactured specifically to promote the launch of their new Rock 'n' Roll Music compilation album. This specific copy features the classic black and silver Parlophone label with "EMI RECORDS LTD" rim text, an intact 4-pronged push-out centre, and comes housed in the distinctive green flipback card picture sleeve featuring the band's image on the reverse side.

The roaring A-side delivers the driving studio version of "Back In The U.S.S.R.", famous for its plane-engine sound effects and beach-pop harmonies. Flip the disc over for the powerhouse B-side, "Twist And Shout", showcasing John Lennon's legendary, throat-shredding early studio vocal performance.

We grade the overall condition of this historic 1976 release as VG/EX. The green card sleeve shows a tiny sticker mark in the top right-hand corner and a little ringwear on the back, whilst the vinyl itself remains in excellent, remarkably clean condition. For deadwax specialists, both sides feature the first-master "-1" stamps alongside the etched initials of EMI's legendary mastering engineer, Harry Moss (Side A: 7YCE 21787-1 3 AG HTM; Side B: 7YCE 21788-1 2 AM HTM).

Secure this mid-seventies British pop artefact for your turntable today. Every order is packaged meticulously in rigid, corner-protected record mailers to guarantee your collectors vinyl arrives safely.
