A superb addition for serious collectors tracking late-sixties transition pressings, this scarce 1968 UK stereo edition of The Beatles' A Hard Day's Night offers a highly distinctive archival variation. This particular release features the classic black and yellow Parlophone label layout but stands out due to its transitional text markers: the rim text reads "THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD.", the early "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED" line is omitted, and the mandatory "Sold in U.K." print statement remains. A KT tax code is cleanly embossed on the side one centre, paired with the historic -1/-1 master matrix stampers and individual 3OM / 2MD runout indicators.

This sought-after album is housed in its authentic, front-laminated Garrod & Lofthouse jacket, featuring the small "stereo" indicator on the front cover. It comes complete with its original, period-accurate EMI advertising inner sleeve.

We grade the sleeve as VG+ due to excellent structural integrity, showing just a few small laminate creases around the edges and a few tiny spots of discolouration on the back. The vintage vinyl disc itself grades as VG. It is in clean condition and retains its original gloss, showing a few visible surface marks. Representing a great opportunity to own a lesser-seen 1968 true stereo mix variant, this listing delivers fantastic historical value and the wide, immersive analogue soundscape that Fab Four collectors look for.
