Released under the respected Apple Records label with catalogue number PCSP 717, this classic double LP set serves as the definitive anthology of the band's groundbreaking early era. The two-disc collection features 26 timeless tracks that shaped pop history, including "Love Me Do", "From Me To You", "I Want To Hold Your Hand", "Ticket To Ride", and "Yellow Submarine".

This specific copy is a must-have for discerning collectors who prioritise authentic sound and precise matrix variations. The runout grooves feature the highly desirable -1/-1/-3/-1 engineering stamps, specifically detailed as YEX 905-1 3 GAG, YEX 906-1 4 GMP, YEX 907-3 5 HL, and YEX 908-1 10 GTG. These early UK mastering cuts are celebrated for delivering the warm, uncompressed analogue punch that modern digital reissues simply cannot replicate.

The records come protected inside the original, fully laminated gatefold picture sleeve manufactured by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd., complete with the essential interior credit to producer George Martin. Additionally, the set includes the authentic red lyric inner sleeves featuring the characteristic two-corner diagonal cuts.

Evaluating the condition, the vinyl discs themselves are a highlight, grading at a beautiful Excellent (EX) with exceptionally clean surfaces that guarantee premium audio playback. The laminated gatefold cover is graded Very Good (VG), showing a touch of wear along the entry edge and some foxing spots across the interior spread. The original printed inner sleeves remain intact, showing only a small, standard vintage split along their bottom edges. It represents a respectable, clean-playing addition to any vintage Beatles collection.
