A fascinating variation comes to light with this 1957 UK original 2nd pressing of the Elvis Presley with the Jordanaires - All Shook Up single. While sharing the same landmark tracklist that dominated global airwaves in the late fifties, this specific item stands out due to its unique deadwax markings. It provides an exceptional opportunity for dedicated discographers to document the frantic pace of production at the EMI plant during the peak of early rock and roll fandom.

This particular archive copy displays the vintage purple His Master's Voice label using the striking silver typography characteristic of the second manufacturing run. The label displays the classic Nipper the dog trademark, and the centre is formed of the traditional four-pronged knockout spindle mechanism. The record is packaged in a simple, generic plain white paper sleeve. The listening experience delivers the unmatched rhythmic groove of "All Shook Up" alongside the melancholic backup vocals of "That's When Your Heartaches Begin".

The true point of distinction lies within the deadwax layout. While it retains the highly prized 1N/1N initial master stampers, the runouts feature the stamped code H2-WW-0256-1N X RT 1 0 on the A-side and H2-WW-0260-1N XT 1 H on the flip. The presence of the XT tax mark on the B-side juxtaposed with the RT mark on the primary side perfectly illustrates the transitional crossover period of UK purchase tax updates in late 1957, all under Catalogue No. 45-POP 359.

Grading at a respectable VG+ condition, the vinyl surfaces retain a healthy lustre despite displaying a few visible superficial surface marks from previous handling. The labels are intact and clear, though they carry tiny initials neatly written in biro pen on each side, adding a touch of authentic mid-fifties domestic history to the piece. This is a wonderfully distinctive variant that will make a superb talking point within any serious Elvis Presley record collection.
