Dating from a slightly later mid-sixties production run, this vintage UK extended play serves as a wonderful example of how Elvis Presley's early catalogue was continually pressed to meet ongoing British demand. Though this collection of songs originally debuted in 1959, this authentic 1964 vintage issue on the RCA Victor imprint (catalogue number RCX-175) features the timeless silver-on-black typography alongside the popular four-prong round centre. Pinpointing its exact era of manufacture is the clear M/T purchase tax code displayed on the label face.

For collectors who scrutinise dead wax variations, the runout grooves reveal clean, machine-stamped matrix details, reading K2PH-0277-1C 2D K on the first side and K2PH-0278-1C 2D K on the second. The record is presented in its original, front-laminated flipback picture sleeve manufactured by MacNeill Press Ltd, which carries the distinct April 1964 printer's date code of "McN4.64" across the rear panel. The songs offer a fantastic cross-section of early rock and balladry, showcasing "Old Shep" and "Any Place Is Paradise" on the initial side, while the flip side delivers the uptempo rock style of "Paralysed" alongside the brilliant "Is It So Strange".

Grading the condition, both the vinyl disc and the outer packaging sit comfortably at a Very Good rating. The seven-inch record retains a clean appearance, showing a number of surface marks. The vintage picture jacket has preserved its structure and shape nicely, exhibiting a localised laminate bubble in the upper left-hand corner of the front cover and a small, minor stain on the unlaminated reverse side situated right next to the opening edge.
