Originally cut during the celebrated 1958 Hollywood studio sessions for Presley's acclaimed musical noir film, these timeless monaural tracks return via a fantastic 1981 United Kingdom pressing of the King Creole Vol. 1 EP. Sourced as an individual component from the comprehensive 1982 retrospective box set anthology The E.P. Collection (tracked under master archive references RCX 1 and EP-1), this forty-five rpm seven-inch carries the unique individual catalogue code RCX 7194. It showcases a classic four-pronged push-out centre spindle hub surrounded by the traditional silver-on-black RCA typography. The record sits within a gorgeous, front-laminated cardboard jacket utilising vintage reverse flipback tabs, delivering exceptional visual charm for British vinyl purists tracking historic packaging layouts.

The runout areas flanking the playing surfaces feature dead-wax identifiers including the A-1U and B-1U first-press stampers. Most importantly, the initial side exhibits the famous "BOPPIN' BOB" etching, confirming that mastering duties were executed by renowned engineer Bob Jones, imparting incredible punch and acoustic separation to these native mono mixes. The tracklisting opens with the explosive, horn-drenched title song and the heavy rhythm of "New Orleans" on Side A, before transitioning into brilliant versions of the soulful ballad "As Long As I Have You" and the playful cadence of "Lover Doll" on Side B.
