Highlighting rare studio outtakes from the King's chart-topping 1960 musical comedy film, this 1981 United Kingdom pressing of the G.I. Blues: The Alternate Takes EP is a fantastic find for serious discographers. This specific forty-five rpm seven-inch was manufactured as the special bonus record for the comprehensive 1982 box set anthology The E.P. Collection, tracked under master reference identifier RCX 1. This vinyl utilises a retro four-pronged push-out spindle arrangement bordered by a classic silver-on-black RCA label design. The disc rests safely inside a beautiful, front-laminated cardboard jacket finished with authentic reverse flipback seams, offering immense historic charm for collectors of vintage British formats.

Crucially, these distinct performances are presented in gorgeous, true stereo, mixed directly from the original multi-track tapes captured natively during the soundtrack sessions. The dead-wax runouts contain premier stampers, displaying the A-1U configuration alongside the etched "BOPPIN' BOB" signature on side one and the "BJ" initials on side two, verifying elite audio engineering by Bob Jones. This meticulous cutting brings great channel separation to unreleased versions of "Shoppin' Around" and "Big Boots" on the initial face, followed by "Tonight's All Right For Love" and "Frankfort Special" on the turn.

Every single item inside our online record store undergoes a thorough visual evaluation under intense halogen light. We have assigned a clear VG/EX condition rating to this unit; while the dark vinyl surfaces remain clean and promise stellar audio delivery, the un-laminated rear cover shows some visible ringwear from long-term storage. Delivering pristine stereophonic fidelity, this collectable cinematic soundtrack record includes free domestic postage across Britain.
