A great slice of early sixties British music history, this seven-inch extended play represents an authentic UK first pressing showcasing the stellar soundtrack work of Elvis Presley. Released on the RCA label under the reference RCX-211 in 1962, this rare collector's variant features the iconic black and silver paper labels presenting the highly coveted large silver spot/dot logo at the top. The disc features the original four-prong round knockout centre, alongside the period-correct Z/T purchase tax code visible on the label area to mark its initial manufacturing window.
For seasoned collectors, the runout grooves carry the definitive early machine-stamped 1C/1C matrix configurations, reading N2PH-1603-1C 1 B H ZT on the first side and N2PH-1604-1C 1 G H ZT on the reverse. The EP is housed in its original front-laminated flipback picture sleeve crafted by Robert Stace. The tracklist provides four memorable silver-screen melodies, leading with the upbeat title track "Follow That Dream" and the tender ballad "Angel", while the second face includes the vibrant "What A Wonderful Life" and "I'm Not The Marrying Kind".
The overall physical condition of this vintage release is graded at Very Good for both the disc and the packaging. The seven-inch vinyl remains highly presentable and carries a great sheen, showing only a small number of surface marks. Both labels are structurally sound but feature tiny biro initials neatly written inside the silver spot logo. The original picture sleeve remains sturdy and complete, displaying a localised laminate bubble in the top left-hand corner, a handling crease across the bottom left-hand corner, and some natural age discolouration across the unlaminated rear panel.
