A Brief History Of Easy Listening Music - Vinyl Records

second-hand vinyl record album

Easy Listening became a popular term from the 50's through to the 70's and mainly comprises instrumental versions of standards or classic songs.  It also contained a light vocal, but not rock.  It includes film themes or what is termed middle of the road songs.  Artists like Andy Williams or Joe Loss and his Orchestra would be examples of easy listening.  This music tends to be of popularity with older people.  Although sometimes sort-after by enthusiasts, these vinyl records tend not to be very valuable.

Planet Earth Records have a great selection of Easy Listening 7 inch, 12 inch vinyl and LP's from the 50's up to the modern day.
